H.Bloom Sets Out To Double In Size

In the three years since its 2010 launch, New York-based H.Bloom has grown into a 5-location, luxury flower and gift provider. This morning, the company is set to announce that it will be expanding to at least 10 total locations within the next four months. The new locations are Boston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Miami.

The growth will further test the company's unusual business model, which differs from traditional florists in that customers can subscribe to a schedule of floral deliveries in return for discounted prices.

CEO Bryan Burkhart told me that doubling the “Netflix of flowers’” size in such a condensed time frame will occur, “a few months earlier than planned,” but he says he's confident that company’s logistical strategy can handle the expansion.
