This year we celebrate our 150th anniversary. It is no mean feat to be still in existence after 150 years and still be involved to some degree in the same operations.
It started with flowers and we're still active in flowers. It started with tulip cultivation, but now we're active in lily cultivation as well. However, in recent years the emphasis of our operations has shifted to breeding ornamental plants. At that time this involved cultivating just one product, now it involves breeding and trading in no fewer than 14 crops. We at the company have always focused on promising operations. Often by trial and error, but we're still here and we expect to be here for a long time to come.
On this website you will find our anniversary edition of our in-house magazine De Band. Here you can read the publication written by us, about us and for everyone who is involved with us in any way: employees, customers, suppliers, banks, shareholders, in short everyone who is interested in us. It does of course contain an account of our history, but we've kept this short because it's already been described in detail in ‘the book with the green cover', which appeared on the occasion of our 125th anniversary. Here we will describe mainly what we are doing at the moment and what our ambition is: to be an excellent breeder of ornamental plants.
