MONTEREY MUSHROOMS is pleased to be the recipient of PMA's prestigious IMPACT AWARD for Excellence in Packaging. Sustainability, Convenience, Marketing, Food Safety: These are the ways packaging can make an impact, and PMA's Impact Award recognizes innovation and excellence in all of these areas.

Monterey's new packaging creatively meets the sustainability mission to reduce, reuse, and/or recycle. Replacing Styrofoam packages with a domestically-produced, natural custom-engineered, corrugated paperboard material – conforming to FDA standards for food safety – results in a totally new, and greener, form of mushroom packaging. And the new graphic designs incorporated into these corrugated trays are designed to deliver an impactful image and clear message regarding the health benefits, usage and versatility of mushrooms.
Monterey continues its tradition of category leadership with new colorful labels showing appetizing color photographs of meal suggestions which introduce consumers to the mushroom's versatility; its high nutrition including Vitamin D; as well as the fact that Monterey's mushrooms are locally grown – nationwide.
