USApple Welcomes Mark Gedris As New Membership & Communications Director

Vienna, VA – The U.S. Apple Association announced this week the hiring of Mark Gedris as the Association’s new director of membership & communications. In his new position, Gedris will lead USApple’s member communications programs, provide strategic guidance to USApple’s media relations, and direct the Association’s membership recruitment and retention programs.

A native New Yorker, Gedris comes to USApple as a seasoned association professional having held management positions with four international trade associations. Prior to joining USApple, Gedris served as the membership director for the International Parking Institute, a global federation of institutions and professionals involved in the parking and transportation industries. He has also served as the marketing and membership director for the Retail Bakers of America, a trade group that represents the baking industry.

The U.S. Apple Association (USApple) is the national trade association representing all segments of the apple industry. Members include 40 state and regional apple associations representing the 7,500 apple growers throughout the country, as well as more than 400 individual firms involved in the apple business. USApple's mission is to provide the means for all segments of the U.S. apple industry to join in appropriate collective efforts to profitably produce and market apples and apple products.
