Houston Outlaws Add Texas Grocery Chain H-E-B as Official Partner

FRISCO, Texas — H-E-B and Houston Outlaws have entered into an official partnership to bring the family-owned food retailer into the world of esports through the team’s south Texas representation in Activision-Blizzard’s Overwatch League.

This partnership marks Houston Outlaws’ first partner branding integration on the sleeves of their uniforms, with H-E-B adorned on all home and away jerseys. The Houston Outlaws will make their first appearance with the H-E-B logo on their jerseys during the opening match of Stage Two, taking place on Saturday, April 13th. Through this partnership, the companies will collaborate to create unique reusable grocery bags, available exclusively at select H-E-B locations within the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio areas. With Houston Outlaws’ continued focus on community growth and fan engagement, H-E-B will act as the official Food Delivery partner of select Houston Outlaws watch parties, enabling flavorful opportunities for fans in Texas to receive a taste of the grocery brand’s offering. Fans will also have additional opportunities to meet their favorite Houston Outlaws players in-store at select H-E-B locations throughout the year.

“Our local communities comprise key elements of the Houston Outlaws’ identity, and H-E-B continues to play a major role in supporting the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio markets,” said Ryan Musselman, President of Infinite Esports and Entertainment. “Through H-E-B, we can ensure our players have the proper food and nourishment they need to continue competing at the professional level.”

“We are excited to be an official sponsor of the Houston Outlaws,” said Cory Basso, H-E-B Group Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. “Our customers are participating in esports, and we’re looking forward to our first esports sponsorship in the Overwatch League.”
