The Manitowoc Co. Inc. said Thursday that Michael Kachmer, president of the company's food service segment, has resigned to pursue a chief executive officer role elsewhere.
Manitowoc-based Manitowoc Co. (NYSE: MTW), which manufactures construction cranes and commercial food service equipment, said chairman and CEO Glen Tellock will temporarily assume leadership of the division, which represented about 38 percent of the firm's 2012 sales of $3.9 billion.
In a press release, the company did not identify the company or companies of which Kachmer was pursuing leadership. Manitowoc said it has several strong internal candidates being considered to serve as president of the food service segment on a permanent basis.
