A strong demand for cold storage facilities is driving plans of a California-based company to more than double the size of its Tacoma Tideflats cold storage warehouse.
Lineage Logistics plans to build a 150,000-square-foot addition to its Tideflats warehouse at 2302 Milwaukee Way. The existing warehouse occupies about 132,000 square feet. The new building will expand the present warehouse to the west in an area now used for shipping container storage, the company said.
The cold storage part of that addition will enclose some 120,000 square feet of space. The remainder of the new structure will include offices and other spaces.
