The people that harvest, process and support the Wild Alaska Pollock fishery will be front-and-center in a new campaign launched today by the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) and its member companies. This new effort is a culmination of months of work capturing real-time interviews and footage of more than 20 industry representatives at all levels of the Wild Alaska Pollock supply chain.

Wild Alaska Pollock Annual Meeting to Feature Stars of ‘Pollock People’ Campaign

Attendees at the fifth Wild Alaska Pollock Annual Meeting will be the first to see the video, photo and social media content that comprises the new industry campaign dubbed ‘Pollock People’ that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the lives and stories of those that live, love and work in the industry, the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) announced.

GAPP Continues to Seek Proposals for Global Partnership Funding

Companies interested in collaborating with the Wild Alaska Pollock industry to build demand by bringing new products using the sustainable, versatile fish or to raise awareness of its inherent attributes, are still encouraged to submit proposals for matching funds under the Partnership Program by the July 25th deadline, the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) announced today. Now it its fifth year, GAPP’s Partnership Program has helped the Wild Alaska Pollock industry explore new consumer-centric opportunities for the fish while driving awareness and demand for products made from Wild Alaska Pollock.

GAPP Still Seeking Stand-Out Product Innovation and Promotion Concepts for Funding

The Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) is still actively seeking cutting-edge proposals for its next round of Partnership Program funding. GAPP has expanded the Program this year to focus on global opportunities for Wild Alaska Pollock with specific emphasis on project ideas in “growth areas” for the fish as identified through GAPP’s proprietary research including its recently released “Wild Alaska Pollock 2040” Report.

The United States, Malaysia, Spain, and the United Kingdom rank as the most favorable future markets for Wild Alaska Pollock demand growth, according to a newly released landmark report that explored the export market opportunities for the fish, the Association of Genuine Alaska Pollock Producers (GAPP) announced today. The release of the report marks the conclusion of a months-long, comprehensive process conducted by renowned firm McKinley Research to support long-term industry investments in market diversification and international marketing efforts for Wild Alaska Pollock.
