The owner of Nature’s Own, Wonder Bread, Roman Mill, Tastykake and other bakery brands has closed on the $120 million purchase of Mesa-based Alpine Valley Bread Co.
Georgia-based Flowers Foods Inc. (NYSE: FLO) finalized its purchase of Alpine, which has two bakeries in Mesa and 282 employees.
Alpine is projected to have $85 million in sales next year.
