After 22 years as one of the major butchery and meat-distributing businesses in Portland, Nicky USA is expanding into Seattle. Nicky USA has reflected the Portland area's metamorphosis into a food capital. The company butchers or distributes everything from rabbit and game to venison, lamb and more exotic meats like alligator and rattlesnake.

Ontario's Cardinal Meat Specialists Gets Cash Injection

A Brampton processing company is beefing up its sausage production courtesy of an $826,000 cash injection from Ottawa.  Parliamentary Secretary Pierre Lemieux, on behalf of federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, announced funding for Cardinal Meat Specialists Ltd., a local company that produces meat products for distribution to retail markets.
