Avocados From Mexico Announces Multi-Million Dollar Radio Buy To Promote Increased Supply

FALLSTON, MD – Avocados from Mexico is investing $2.5MM on general market and Hispanic TV and radio throughout the country during September and October.  Available year-round, fresh avocados from Mexico are the #1 avocado sold in the United States. This year, Mexico is expected to celebrate another record-breaking season by supplying over 850 million pounds of fresh avocados to help meet growing demand across the United States.  In fact, suppliers in North American growing regions with close proximity to US consumers will represent over 85% of the industry’s projected 1.6 billion pounds of avocado sales in the coming year.

MHAIA is offering retailers the opportunity to capitalize on local market exposure through custom tags at the end of the radio spots. The general radio spots will air in 12 major US markets, including New York, Chicago, St. Louis and Pittsburgh, garnering over 52 million impressions. The Hispanic local radio campaign will run in New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Boston and Philadelphia, surpassing 7 million listeners.
