McDonald’s hosted a McCafé Sustainability Journey Experience in downtown Chicago on Nov. 29. The event was designed to bring consumers to a Columbian coffee farm and show how McDonald’s is committed to making McCafé beverages sustainable, from the coffee to the milk to the cream made possible thanks to America’s dairy farmers. Illinois dairy farmer Amy Hildebrandt was on site with two coffee farmers from Columbia to talk about the sustainable practices on her dairy. Attendees were able to enjoy a McCafé latte or specialty coffee with milk. Dairy Management Inc., which manages the national dairy checkoff, has had a partnership with McDonald’s since 2009.
