LAND O LAKES® Butter and Cheese won several awards—including a number of first place finishes—at the 2012 Minnesota State Fair Butter and Cheese Contest.
“To have nine out of the top 10 results is remarkable,” said Manny Soliz, Jr., continuous improvement manager for the Land O’Lakes Dairy Foods plant in Tulare, Calif.
The State Fair, which began Aug. 23, holds the annual contest, which is coordinated by the Upper Midwest Dairy Industry Association.
“Land O’Lakes butter makers across the system are definitely displaying the commitment to their craft,” said Brad Bass, plant manager for Land O’Lakes Kent Superspreads in Kent, Ohio.
