Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries Continues Expansion In Virginia

Columbia, MD, December 20, 2010 – Boardwalk Fairfax, LLC is one of the latest companies to sign an agreement with Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries and has exclusive rights to develop the concept in Fairfax County, Virginia. Managing Member of Boardwalk Fairfax, LLC, Koteswara Aluri, has recently signed the lease for his company’s first location at the West Springfield Shopping Center in Springfield, Virginia. This location is slated to be open by April 2011.

Boardwalk Fairfax, LLC will follow the opening of their first location with four additional Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries over the subsequent four years following the opening of its first restaurant. Mr. Aluri is currently evaluating real estate sites for the second restaurant in Fairfax County.

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries has restaurants open in Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Pennsylvania, California, and is soon to open in Florida. While it continues aggressive expansion in these markets, it also has development plans in place for New Jersey and Michigan.

Mr. Aluri, a serial entrepreneur with investments in the hotel, financial and banking industries for many years, says he has three primary reasons for choosing Boardwalk Fresh Burger and Fries. "Actually there are three reasons why we chose Boardwalk over its competitors. First, because I found its fresh burgers and fries much tastier and bigger. Second, the choices in menu appeal to a wider section of people,” says Mr. Aluri, and adds “The third reason I chose it – and importantly – is because Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries presents a clean and colorful ambience, rather that the dull, boring and greasy atmosphere I found in the other fresh burger places."

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries recently announced the appointment of Kert Gennings as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gennings brings decades of restaurant experience to the concept, having previously served as President of RGI, a restaurant consulting company, and COO for leading brands in the industry – Chesapeake Bagel Bakeries and Jersey Mikes Franchise Company. His appointment comes at an opportune time to better serve franchisees like Mr. Aluri and other area developers and multi-unit franchisees as Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries continues to expand rapidly across the country.
