FPAA Members Name Matt Mandel as Member of the Year

During the annual meeting of the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas (FPAA) on November 1st, the association’s president, Lance Jungmeyer, presented the FPAA Member of the Year Award to Matt Mandel from SunFed. The Member of the Year is nominated by FPAA members and is defined as someone who goes above and beyond in working for the betterment of the industry and its membership. 

FPAA Announces New Communications Team Member, Saul Macias

Saul Macias is the newcomer to the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas. He joins the team as the Communications Coordinator.  

USTR, USDA to Pursue Avenues to Assist Seasonal Produce Industry

The Office of the United States Trade Representative today announced that it will pursue avenues to assist the Southeast seasonal produce industry in coordination with the United States Department of Agriculture after Members of Congress requested an examination of certain issues in a September 8, 2022, Section 301 petition.
