Hitchcock Farms Hires Industry Veterans, Dan Holt & Jill Lenz

Hitchcock Farms, Salinas, Calif., a premier and innovative grower shipper has added industry veterans Jill Lenz and Dan Holt to its sales team. Jeff Hitchcock, the president and CEO, and one of the company’s original founders in 1989, re-branded the company, previously known as Boggiatto Produce, in May.

Lenz joins after 15 years in sales at Classic Salads and was previously in sales and procurement at Tanimura and Antle and Fresh Express. She will handle sales of Hitchcock Farm’s entire product line that features Garden Hearts® romaine hearts, Iceberg Babies®, brussels sprouts and napa cabbage.

Holt, hired on as Vice President of Sales, stated “I am honored to join such a great group of people with an impressive amount of industry experience, talent and innovative drive and am eager to help grow our business and brand in my new role. I have always enjoyed my interaction with Jill, dating back to her days at T&A and look forward to finally working with her and the rest of the team.”

Previously Holt was Director of Sales at Earthbound Farm in various roles since 2006. Prior to Earthbound he led the sales team at Pride of San Juan where he spent 10 years in salad, fruit and vegetable sales and marketing after starting in the industry over 25 years ago as a quality inspector.

“Dan is a produce veteran with a wealth of experience and we are excited to have Dan at the helm of our sales team” stated Jeff Hitchcock. Hitchcock’s family farming roots in Monterey County date back to the 1880s.
