22 Students Recognized with Scholarships

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) has awarded 22 students from 13 universities with scholarships, totaling $58,100. In 2023, AFE received 86 applications from colleges and universities all over the nation. Congratulations to the Scholarship Class of 2023! The Endowment also gives a special thank you to the 52 industry members who reviewed and scored the applications.

Ashlie Tagawa Mohr Appointed to AFE’s Vic & Margaret Ball Committee

Ashlie Tagawa Mohr has been appointed as the newest member of the American Floral Endowment’s(AFE) Vic & Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Committee. She is currently the Director of Human Resources and Intern Coordinator for Tagawa Greenhouses in Brighton, Colorado, where her focus is on staffing, training, and employee relations. 

MD, VA, DC Retail Florist’s Continued Education Grant Applications Open

Funding available for retail florists! The American Floral Endowment (AFE) has a special grant specifically for retail florists in the MD, VA, and DC areas that provide reimbursement of up to $500 for floral industry events, webinars, or college courses you attend to continue your knowledge base and education.

Two of the American Floral Endowment (AFE)’sfloriculture/horticulture internship programs are now open for applications – the Vic & Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Program and the Mosmiller Intern Scholarship Program. 

AFE Offers Floral Education Travel Grant for Arizona Retailers
