Potatoes will again have a robust presence at the American Dietetic Association’s Annual Food & Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE) this year in San Diego. The USPB kicks-off the event with participation at the Third Annual “What’s In Store” Supermarket RD Symposium event, serving Crab-Filled Potato Bites, and talking potato nutrition and research to more than 30 influential Supermarket RDs from across the country.
Next up will be an intimate lunch event at a top San Diego restaurant for a group of high-profile media RD’s, including Dawn Jackson Blatner (Fitness magazine and USA Today), Michelle Dudash (Whole Living and Woman’s Day magazines), Neva Cochran (Woman’s World and First magazines) and many more. Dr. Adam Drewnowski will present his latest potato research regarding the positive role of potatoes in overall diet quality to the group while they enjoy a gourmet menu featuring the seven types of potatoes.
Last but not least, Dr. Drewnowski’s research will be presented on the FNCE conference floor to wrap up the USPB’s 2012 presence.
